Answer

What is SCOP (heat pump efficiency)?

SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) is a heat pump's real-world efficiency across the year — a SCOP of 3.5 means 3.5 units of heat per unit of electricity.

A higher SCOP means lower running costs; good systems reach 3.5–4.5.
