Answer

Is my roof good for solar panels?

South-facing roofs are best, but east- and west-facing roofs still generate well (around 80–85% of south). What matters is shading, pitch and usable area — most UK roofs are viable.

In more detail

Avoid heavy shading from chimneys or trees. A 30–40° pitch is ideal, and even flat roofs work with mounting frames.
