Pluto GC 100
From Pluto Wiki
What is the gc100 and where do I get it?
The manufacturer's home page is http://www.globalcache.com/products/gc-index.html
How do I add a gc100 device to my system?
<p>Nearly all IP-based devices that Pluto supports are plug-and-play. Just plug them in and they're automatically configured and ready to go. Tech stuff: Pluto does this by monitoring the dhcp requests and looking up the devices Mac Addresses in a database. The gc100 does not support dhcp, and therefore is not plug and play.Because it is not plug and play, we added a button "Add gc100" to the Orbiter. You need to 1) Plug a new gc100 into your network. (Tech note: It comes with a hard-coded static IP) 2) Click the Pluto logo on any Orbiter to see the advanced menu, and then click gc100. Pluto will detect and configure the gc100 automatically. (Tech note: It reprograms the gc100 to use another IP). 3) If you bought more than 1 gc100, only plug 1 new one in at a time. When you hit the "add gc100" button, wait for confirmation that it has been configured before you plug in the next one and hit the button again.
How do I use it?
General operating instructions are available on http://www.globalcache.com.
If you have I/R controlled equipment, like TV's, Stereo's, etc., you want to control with the gc100, add the devices on the Wizard/Devices/AV page. In the "Controlled Via" pull down you will see a list of all the gc100's in your house. Pick the one that will control this device. You can also type in the I/R port that you connected to the emitter to in the port field. In that case the I/R codes for this device will be transmitted only out of that port. Otherwise it will be transmitted on all ports simultaneously.
To use the TTL inputs for security sensors, go to the Wizard/Devices/Security page. Add the appropriate type of sensor, and choose the gc100 as the "Controlled Via" device, specifying the input number.
All the RS232 ports on all the gc100's will show up as available ports on your Core. So, for example, if you have a lighting control system and connect the RS232 cable to a GC100, add the device in the Wizard/Devices/Interfaces page--where all lighting and other interfaces are added. Since the RS232 port on the gc100 appears as a port on the Core, choose the Core as the "Controlled Via" device. Then choose the gc100 RS232 port from the port list.
