How do I login to a Linux console?

Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to get to a console login on your Core or Hybrid. A best-practices approach to Linux systems administration would suggest that you do not login as root unless it is absolutely required, usually when entering single user mode. In all other instances the 'sudo' command should suffice.
